Arabian Weekend – Souk, Scripts and Soundbites (2007)
On 26–27 August 2007, The Mansoojat Foundation participated in Arabian Weekend – Souk, Scripts and Soundbites at the John Madejski Garden in London.
The event was organised to celebrate the opening of the Jameel Gallery of Islamic Art at the Victoria and Albert Museum and brought together a programme of activities exploring aspects of Arabian and Islamic culture.
As part of the weekend, Mansoojat presented a stall featuring Foundation products alongside a live costume display showcasing examples of traditional dress and textile heritage from Saudi Arabia and the wider region.
Further information about the opening programme was available through the V&A Islamic Architecture and Art Programme.
Mansoojat’s participation in the event was generously sponsored by Aseel Alharthy and Sharaf Alharthy.
Photographs from the event were taken by Jo Aldridge.
