The noble Hudheyl tribe resides in the mountainous region of Taif in the Hijaz, Western Saudi Arabia. Known for their distinctive attire, Hudheyl garments are crafted from tie-dyed muslin, featuring a variety of intricate patterns unique to the region.

Their highland dwellings are typically clustered in small hamlets of four to five homes, constructed from locally sourced stone and mud-materials well-suited to the rugged terrain.

The Hijaz mountains surrounding their settlements are rich in biodiversity, home to a wide array of native plant species.

Each traditional Hudheyl dress bears its own name and is paired with a distinctive headdress, reflecting the tribe’s cultural identity and heritage.
