The Hudheyl tribe

Location: Taif, Hijaz, Western Region

The noble tribe of Hudheyl lives in the Taif area. Hudheyl costumes are made of tie-dyed muslin applied in different patterns.

The highland homesteads of the Hudhail are scattered in hamlets of four or five and are built of stone and mud.

The rugged Hijaz mountains boast a rich and varied flora.

Each style of Hudheyl dress has its own specific name as well as its own accompanying headdress.

Hudheyl tie-dye ample garment with an embroidered yoke on the front and the back. The various tie-dye patterns have different names depending on the design, and the headdresses are suited accordingly.
